Sun Long-Term Care Insurance by Sun Life

Features and Benefits

Sun Long-term care insurance is not only designed to meet your future needs but also your immediate needs. To register for this plan, you must be between the ages of 21 and 80 and you must reside in either Canada or the United States.

The minimum weekly benefit for the plan is $150 while the maximum weekly benefit is $2,300.

You are at liberty to choose your benefit period. The options available include 100 weeks, 150 weeks, 250 weeks and unlimited.

You also decide on your waiting period. The options available are 90 days and 180 days.

Several additional protection and services are included in the plan. Such features include palliative care, first-payment bonus, waiver of premium, Lifestage Care, extended term license and so forth.

Terrible! I wouldn’t even leave a star, but you have to at least choose one!I had submitted an insurance policy, and as it was still pending, I cancelled (a few hours later) - over email. I did not receive an email back! I have since sent 2-3 more emails and inquiries from their website to cancel the pending policy. No response!I go on my online banking, and was charged 100+ dollars (which is what I was trying to avoid). I tried to inquire about it, no response!On top of that, I got charged the money - and have not been contacted by a single broker, have not received a single package, have not received any information whatsoever, so basically I got charged money for nothing!Terrible! I do not recommend!
