  • The plan includes up to $5 million in coverage and covers for emergency medical expenses while traveling out of your province or country.
  • It covers emergency hospital, medical and ambulance expenses, private duty nursing, emergency air transportation or evacuation, emergency dental services and the service of other professionals such as osteopath, chiropractor, physiotherapist, podiatrist and so forth.
  • It also provides a 24/7 trip assistance service. This includes assistance for lost luggage, lost document and ticket replacement, and so forth.
  • You are not covered if you undertake a trip against a physician’s advice, circumstances you are aware of when you bought the plan, treatments (except emergency ones) without prior approval, a pre-existing condition, and so forth.
  • The plan is for Canadians covered by the government’s health insurance plan.
  • You need to confirm your eligibility with a medical questionnaire if you are 60 years of age or older.
  • Before the day you embark on your first trip, you are required to pay your premium.
