A team of experts at a new clinic in downtown Kelowna known as Cedar Sage Health and Wellness clinic is providing help to people suffering from mental health issues. However, such people are required to have a referral and a family physician.
The clinic is located on Ellis Street on the second floor of the Interior Health building. The Minister of Mental Health and Addictions, Judy Darcy, said in a new release that Kelowna residents will be able to connect with a comprehensive mental health and substance use support with this new clinic. Furthermore, the support accorded here will help victims of mental health issues to heal and recover easily from the condition.
The clinic will accept people without family doctors when it becomes fully operational. IH Board Chair, Dr. Doug Cochrane, pointed out that the clinic was designed for people suffering from mental health conditions and substance use who face new challenges and are struggling to cope with the conditions.
