A German Wirehaired Pointer that got missing in Guelph-Eramosa prompted series of investigations by Wellington OPP. The pooch got missing when walking with the owner off leash on the trails at the Guelph Lake Conservation Area.

The dog ran ahead and out of sight of the group. When the woman and the other dogs arrived at the road, the dog was nowhere to be found. The woman said she saw a black sedan zoom off the area at a high speed.

According to the police, the 8-year-old German Wirehaired Pointer answered the names “Pisser” and “Leo”. He is dark grey with brown patches and white flecks. Crime Stoppers offered up to $2,000 for anyone who provides information regarding the alleged suspect.

But Wellington OPP said that the German Wirehaired Pointer has been found in an abandoned building on Guelph Lake property by Conservation Area Staff. The dog has reunited with his family in good health.
