Field Spaniels Pet Insurance News

2016 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show was prestigious. It featured thousands of dogs from different parts of the world and it held in New York City. A field Spaniel from Russell, Ontario, named Artemis also attended.

Artemis’ owner said she has a secret weapon that could help her to win best in breed. Artemis’ father won the 2012 Westminster best in breed and Rebecca Menard was positive that her dog will win the title.

Menard said her dog has a quirky personality which she calls “wiggle burn” and judges really like the special little move. “Instead of just the tail ticking back and forth, the whole bottom gets in on the action”, she said.

The 3-year-old dog is primarily Menard’s pet but he also competes in dog shows.

However, Artemis did not win best in breed for the year’s competition. A four-year-old Field Spaniel Gch Northaven Sandscape Chances Are, owned and bred by Sarah Stebbins & Nichole Dooley Bunch won the title.

But Menard said she’s proud of her dog whether or not she wins the title.
