Bouvier des Flandres Pet Insurance News

A 105-pounds Bouvier des Flandres named Baby Lars or Lars won the herding group in front of a packed crowd and live television with handler Elaine Paquette. The prestigious Westminster show had more than 3,000 dogs; the herding group win would be the biggest accomplishment for the Paquette family that have been showing and breeding Bouviers for 40 years.

Speaking about her decades of showing paying off, Paquette said: “just to get there in the best of show ring at the Westminster show and have already defeated all those dogs is just huge”.

The Bouvier performed beyond expectations and he loved the attention he got. Paquette said that Lars loves to be the focal point. He would do selfies all day if he could. He would chew on any cellphone and remote control he finds.

The dog is co-owned by Elaine and her sister. They also own the Quiche Kennels Boarding and Grooming in Tecumseh started by their parents in the 1970s. Elaine said she wished she could have called her deceased parents, Christine and Oscar Paquette, to share the excitement with them.
