Getting back to basics with Blue Cross

Basic Blue Choice is the right basic guaranteed issue health insurance plan for you

There is an old adage that states “simplicity is the essence of happiness.” There are many instances in life where the simplest of things can satisfy our needs. The same can sometimes be said about certain insurance products.

Insurance policies provide us with essential coverage that is not only cost-effective but allows access to the coverage we need, often at lower rates. However, budgetary limitations can sometimes force us to choose insurance products that provide basic coverage.

If you are looking for this kind of coverage and are not presently covered by a company-issued health insurance policy, the Basic Blue Choice Plan from Blue Cross may be the right insurance product for you. It provides guaranteed issue health insurance that helps you cover expenses associated with essential health and dental coverage.

What is included in the Basic Blue Choice Plan?

The Basic Blue Choice Plan offers comprehensive health insurance coverage at a lower monthly rate and is available to anyone under 75 years of age. The plan provides coverage for the following essential services:

  • Dental coverage
  • Hospital benefits
  • Out-of-province travel insurance coverage
  • Access to the Blue Cross Assistance Program, which includes partner privileges, discounts and information and prevention services

Best of all, the Basic Blue Choice Plan is a guaranteed issue life insurance product, meaning that you will receive coverage regardless of your health status. Your medical history will not be scrutinized when you apply, nor will you have to pass a health exam.
