Great-West Lifeco, the parent company of London Life, resolved to cut 13% of its employees due to the changing technology and customer expectation. As a result, Great-West Lifeco is set to eliminate 1,500 jobs throughout Canada out of its 12,000 employees from 2017 to 2019.

London Life, being a subsidiary of Great-West Lifeco will have a fair share in the cut; the Forest City based company will experience about 430 jobs cut over the two years interval. However, the London Mayor, Matt Brown, has assured the residents that would be affected by the job cut that the city has their strong support.

What is the difference between RRSP and TFSA?

An RRSP is a Registered Retirement Savings Plan. You can contribute to this plan until you turn 71. However, TFSA is a tax-free savings program. You can contribute to this plan at age 18 or older.

How do I make a claim?

The group coverage provides several claims forms depending on the insurance plan you opt for. There are standard claim forms, out-of-country claim forms, group critical illness claim forms, health solutions plus claim form, and so forth. However, you can easily submit your healthcare claims through GroupNet.

To submit your individual claims, download and complete the appropriate claim form and send it by mail to the address provided on the form. Make sure you provide all the information required on the form to avoid delays. Ensure you include your policy number for any of the claims you want to make on every claim forms whether Sonata Health, PlanDirect or Prelude.

How do I get direct deposits for my claims?

You can sign up with eClaims to get direct deposits for your claims. The processes are simple. Firstly, log in and then choose Online Claim. Make sure you add your banking information to Your Profile tab.
